Research (*) of Kaspersky Lab and B2B αποκαλύπτει ότι το 33% των οργανισμών παροχής χρηματοοικονομικών υπηρεσιών δεν προσφέρει στους καταναλωτές ένα ασφαλές for all online payments, although 62% has seen a significant increase in realization online transactions by customers and 50% believes that online financial scams are rising.  paypal online Kaspersky

The survey revealed that many banks and electronic payment companies are struggling to fully protect their systems and customers from financial fraud at a time when customers are using increasingly more devices to carry out an ever-increasing number of online transactions.

Two-thirds (65%) of respondents said their customers are using increasingly different devices to make online payments. However, once 53% has implemented a two-factor authentication system. In addition, once 50% has implemented a specialized solution to combat online fraud in real time, although 22% considers this to be the most effective form of protection. Fewer than half of the companies (42%) extend such a solution to their client devices, and only 67% applies a secure connection for all online payments.

It is no surprise that 48% accepts that it only mitigates the risk instead of completely removing it, while 29% states that it is less costly to deal with the incidents of economic fraud when they arise, in connection with efforts to prevent such events.

"Research shows that banks and electronic payment institutions have difficulty managing it online financial fraud in today's interconnected and multi-channel environment. The 38% of the organizations we talked with admitted it is becoming increasingly difficult to see if a transaction is fraudulent or genuine. It is also worrying that a third-third size (1 / 3) chooses the approach "we will deal with the issue when it arises." If you consider that research revealed 22,9 million financial malware attacks against 2,7 million customers globally for 2014, it is clear that dealing with each incident separately is not a viable and long-term option. Customers deserve better and the same applies to financial institutions, "said Ross Hogan, Head of Safe Money Business Development, Kaspersky Fraud Prevention, Kaspersky Lab.

The survey also showed that "general-purpose" Internet security solutions are not considered an effective method to prevent ever better covert phishing attacks and malicious programs, which can lead to financial fraud. Less than 10% of respondents agreed with this option.

A specialized solution is the preferred option. The Kaspersky Fraud Prevention is a comprehensive security solution aimed at combating online banking fraud. It provides multi-layered protection for online and mobile υπηρεσίες. Η κύρια consists of two subsystems. The first is a clientless mechanism, which is installed within the infrastructure of a bank or electronic transaction service, ensuring an additional level of security, through the analysis of banking operations on the clients' devices.

The other subsystem is a solution for terminal devices (e.g., computers and mobile devices). Once installed on a Mac or Windows computer, Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints checks the authenticity of websites and opens the websites in protected mode to ensure that all personal data is protected from theft or modification. It also ensures that no malware can be loaded on the computer. In turn, Kaspersky Fraud Prevention SDK (Software Development Kit) allows the development of applications for Android, iOS or Windows Phone, which are safe from possible online scams.

* In the "IT Security Risks" survey, conducted by Kaspersky Lab and B2B International, 2015, more than 5.500 executives, including 131 bank representatives and payment services from 26 countries, participated.
