H εταιρεία ασφαλείας Kaspersky κυκλοφόρησε μία έκθεση που αφορά το παγκόσμιο spam για τον Οκτώβριο του 2013. Σύμφωνα με την εταιρεία, το ποσοστό των spam στην of emails increased by 6,6%.

And rather this increase is not really a surprise, since vacations such as Halloween are always a good opportunity for spammers.
In addition, due to coming Christmas and New Year, spam has also begun to grow.

In October, spammers continued to actively use the names of known companies to propagate malicious ZIP files.

Several mass missions have been recorded that offer rather unusual, not to say exotic, services for love spells or for career enhancement as well as other forms of white and black magic.

There were significantly more missions which offered souvenirs with the logos of well-known companies, but also the range of products was greater than ever. These mass mailings were distributed in almost every major language.

Of course enough spams involve holidays for Halloween days and upcoming Christmas and New Year's Eve.

In addition, spammers exploit the conflict in Syria in an attempt to trick unsuspecting users to send money.

In October, China continued to be the number one source of spam, followed by the US, South Korea, Taiwan and Russia. It turns out that 0,027% of the global spam traffic observed last month is represented by emails (emails that try to trick users and phish their information or passwords).

Social media websites ς εξακολουθούν να είναι οι πιο στοχευμένοι, ακολουθούμενοι από το mail and instant messaging services, with search engines third, and financial companies fourth.
