According to a post on LastPass blog, the service technicians discovered some suspicious activity on Friday, which prompted them to block the network. LastPass states that the "vast majority" of users are safe.
While the activity of hackers was quickly perceived and blocked, LastPass states:
“….in our research, we have found evidence that the encrypted data των χρηστών και οι λογαριασμοί τους δεν έχουν διαρρεύσει. Η έρευνα έδειξε, ωστόσο, ότι οι διευθύνσεις email των λογαριασμών της υπηρεσίας LastΡass, οι υπενθυμίσεις κωδικών πρόσβασης, τα user salts, και τα authentication hashes ήταν σε κίνδυνο.”
LastRass continues to mention that those users have weak master passwords they should change them immediately.
Naturally weak gentleman codeς σημαίνει ότι οι χρήστες θα πρέπει να αλλάξουν άμεσα και όλους τους codeof access stored on the platform.
Our tip, even if the code you used is very powerful, change it immediately.
Every violation is a very good reminder that passwords should change frequently, and be strong enough.
