Le Monde: How the NSA is spying on France

Telecoms of French citizens were massively monitored by the US National Security Agency (NSA), as the newspaper "Le Monde", which refers to the documents they contain for the secrets s and which were made public by the former technician of the Service Edward Snowden.

Η εφημερίδα αναφέρει ότι έχει στην κατοχή της έγγραφα με γραφήματα για το εύρος των τηλεφωνικών παρακολουθήσεων και υποκλοπών που πραγματοποιούνταν στη Γαλλία. Από αυτό προκύπτει ότι σε ένα διάστημα 30 ημερών --από τις 10 Δεκεμβρίου του 2012 έως τις 8 Ιανουαρίου του 2013-- 70,3 εκατομμύρια καταγραφές τηλεφωνικών δεδομένων έγιναν από τη NSA.

The newspaper also publishes documents describing the techniques used to violate confidential information or simply the personal data of the French people. According to Le Monde, the monitoring techniques were varied.

When a phone number is used in France, it activates a signal that automatically dials the call recording.

Apparently, this tracking system records both SMS messages and their content using keywords. Also, the NSA apparently stores it συνομιλιών του κάθε στόχου--τα αποκαλούμενα μετα.
