Lenovo announced the new P50 and P70 ThinkPad notebooks that will be equipped with Intel Xeon E3-1500M v5 processors.
The announcement comes after Intel announced that it will deliver Xeon processors on laptops for the first time. The Xeon E3-1500M v5 family is based on the new Skylake 14nm architecture.
For those who don't know Intel's Xeon processors were until now only used by servers and business computers.
The only users who could test the performance and security features of processors were to buy computers from manufacturers like Eurocom.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 70 is an 17-inch notebook designed for media and entertainment professionals and other businesses.
It can wear up to and including 64GB RAM DDR4 ECC.
Meanwhile, the Chinese company said the P50 will be a thinner and lighter 15,6-inch laptop with screen UHD 4K.

Lenovo's new P ThinkPad line of laptops will be available from Q4 2015. Prices now: for the P50 it will start at $1.599, and for the P70 the suggested price reaches 1999 dollars.
