LG unveiled its new smartphone flagship, LG G6. The device seems to have a much better look than its predecessor. It comes with a slightly larger screen but the significant improvement over the previous model is that the Full Vision 5.7 inch screen is supposed to support two standard colors: Dolby Vision and HDR 10. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating.
LG G6 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, which features Google Assistant. It also runs the newest LG UI (user interface), which is specifically designed to offer 18: 9 analysis.
The 5.7-inch screen supports Quad HD + with a resolution of 2880 × 1440 pixels. LG has confirmed that the smartphone will be water and dust resistant since it has an IP68 certificate. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the back, but in a convenient location.
The LG G6 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, with 4GB RAM and 32 or 64GB storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card).
The company has confirmed that its flagship comes with a dual camera installation, consisting of two 13-megapixel cameras.
The first one has f / 1.8, optical image stabilization (OIS) and 3-axis, while the second camera has a f.2 / 4 aperture. The cameras feature laser autofocus, face detection, HDR, and are capable of 4K video recording. At the front, there is a secondary 5 megapixel camera with f.2 / 2 aperture and full HD (1080p) video recording.
The LG G6 is powered by a battery of 3.300 mAh (non-removable) and features Quick Charge 3,0 Qualcomm technology. Wireless charging is also available, but only in the United States.
According to LG, the LG G6 will be available for pre-orders from 2 March and the first devices will be released from March 10.
