The dimensions of the phone are ergonomically designed to ensure the ultimate comfort for the user as well as compatibility with existing and upcoming digital content.
The new LG UX 6.0 user interface LG G6 will maximize the benefits of the FullVision display, providing the user with the ultimate in user-friendliness and benefits such as:
- Different content viewing experience, such as video clips, and internet browsing
- Improved user interface for the camera which "takes advantage" of the 'extra' space provided by the 18:9 format of the screen
- Smartly designed GUI (Graphical User Interface) that allows 2 squared windows to be opened side by side, providing a more productive multitasking experience.
A diversified experience
The screen FullVision the LG G6 gives users a new viewing experience. The new, large screen has expanded top and bottom allowing users to see more information when browsing the internet or reading e-books while providing them more exciting experiences when watching videos or playing games.
The LG G6 is expected to usher in a new era, during the duration whose premium smartphones will feature 18: 9 aspect ratio screens. This is why 18: 9 aspect ratio content such as movies, apps and games is on the rise. The device also has a feature that allows users to watch content in 16: 9 aspect ratio in 18: 9 format.
Enhanced camera UX
The UX camera has been significantly improved thanks to the 18:9 wide screen, an aspect ratio that increases convenience and enjoyable use. The wide screen allows users to take photos and edit them at the same time. LG UX 6.0 offers the Square Camera feature, which divides the 18:9 screen into two distinct perfect squares. With it, users can shoot in 1:1 format – which is especially popular on social media like Instagram – and edit the images in an adjacent window. There is also a new mode of photography, the so-called Food Mode, which has high color quality and saturation ideal for what its name indicates, the meal. Users can also create GIF files by combining from 2 to 100 images in a loop.
Upgraded Multi-tasking
The LG G6 takes advantage of the 18: 9 widescreen in many ways. Initially, it allows the user to open a call-waiting window next to the calendar or photo album application at the same time as the message application. Many dimensional square pictures can be linked together and displayed as Collage Wallpaper on the lock screen. The user can type a message and browse the internet at the same time. In the calendar application, turning G6 horizontally will display the calendar in the left pane, while a detailed timeline will appear on the right. The combinations that can be made are endless.
"LG G6 with FullVision is inspired by the philosophy of cinema industry experts who believe that an 18:9 screen would be the best solution for viewing both old and new cinematic content in the digital age," said Juno Cho, President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We haven't just adopted this philosophy in our latest smartphone, we've taken it to a whole new level by incorporating the 18:9 format in many other ways. I think users will appreciate the fact that we've made the LG G6 more productive.”
LG G6 with LG UX 6.0 will be presented to the public worldwide during MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain on February 26.
