What do they do? Linkin Park to Microsoft;
Microsoft launched its beta Project Spark last December, allowing players and developers create and play custom games on consoles Xbox.
To promote their new album The Hunting Party, The Linkin Park teamed up with Microsoft to create an interactive music video that the users they will be able to take part, shuffling the scenes to rebuild it from scratch.
The band collaborated with developers Team Dakota to create a seven-week interactive video for the new single Guilty All the Same and as they say it can be played in three acts. The visual effects are suitably dark and brooding, and the overall gameplay φαίνεται να δείχνει ότι κάποιος προσπαθεί να ξεφύγει από ένα τυπικό κολασμένο τοπίο που καταστράφηκε από κάποια ανίερη οντότητα. Βέβαια η μίξη του ήχου με τα οπτικά εφέ, μάλλον ταιριάζει αρκετά. Αν και δεν είναι απολύτως σαφές το τι μπορεί να αλλάξει και με ποιους τρόπους, η Microsoft και η μπάντα υπόσχονται ότι οι παίκτες μπορούν να βγάλουν σκηνές από το βίντεο και να κάνουν remix το τραγούδι και το gameplay, όπως αυτοί θέλουν.
Although the presentation is not the most exciting ever, it is quite inventive and seems to make good use of the new Project Spark platform. Linkin Park will offer music video to gamers for free for Xbox and Windows 8.1, and "The Hunting Party" will be released on June 14.
