Linux Mint 18 Sarah operating system in Xfce edition has just been released and it is available to download from the official repositories.
There is currently no official announcement, but the new Linux Mint ISO has appeared on the main FTP servers used by the distribution.
So at the end of the post you will find the ISO images of Linux Mint 18 Xfce Edition with support for 64 and 32-bit.
The OS is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus and uses the Linux 4.4 LTS kernel.
The prominent features of Linux Mint 18 Sarah Xfce include: support for the new X-Apps that we first saw for Cinnamon and MATE flavors, XED, Xviewer, Xreader, Xplayer and Pix. The new distribution features the new Mint-Y theme, and the Moka icons.
Linux Mint 18 Xfce Edition supports out-of-the-box archives exFAT and Btrfs, HiDPI, comes with GTK3 improvements, a new Update Manager tool, new MDM 2.0 login manager, and tons of visual improvements.
