Every time you do λήψη φωτογραφιών από μια φωτογραφική μηχανή ή από το κινητό τηλέφωνο στα Windows βρίσκεστε μπροστά σε μία λίστα με κωδικοποιημένα ονόματα αρχείων. A common disadvantage in older versions of Windows was the inability to have two files with the same name in the same position. From Vista, Windows automatically adds a counter if two files or folders have the same name.
You can use this technique to your advantage and easily rename multiple files together while counting them. Of course, it can also be done with separate ones applications third-party apps that offer more functionality but we'll show you this using pure Windows commands.
Let's go then:
Step 1: Place all the files you want to rename into a single folder.
Step 2: Select all the files in the folder with the mouse (or simply by pressing Ctrl + A ).
Step 3: Right-click your mouse and go to the "Rename" command (or just press F2 to edit one of all the names).
Step 4: Rename the file as you wish and then press "Enter" to rename the rest.

As a result, all files will be renamed with the name you want with an additional counter of type (#) at the end of the name, where # is a number - file counter.
You can simply enter additional characters to the existing name to keep the original. The combinations are unlimited and give you total control over the rename options.
