Meeting at the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office on the electronic security of the 5-7-2015 referendum
The electronic security measures to be taken to hold the Sunday referendum (5-7-2015) were the topic of a meeting held yesterday (30-6-2015) at the headquarters of the Electronic Crime Investigation Division.
The meeting was attended by:
the Head of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, Major General Emmanuel Sfakianakis, the Head of the Department of Technological Equipment and Networks of the Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reconstruction together with his colleagues, the Head of the National Authority for Countering Electronic Attacks (CERT), as well as executives of the SINGULAR LOGIC company , responsible for the flow of results and eblueof telecommunications operators (Information Society for network SYZEUXIS, OTE and FORTHNET).
The need for vigilance and attention to avoid electronic attacks or interference-disruptions was emphasized, when submitting the results from the regions of the country to the Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reconstruction, as well as reporting any suspicious incident to be investigated to the competent Risk Management Group, which will oversees the whole procedure.
From the side of the participants, it was confirmed technique readiness, with the aim of a successful and smooth outcome of the technical side of the referendum.
