Το Metro PuTTY είναι το εξιδεικευμένο αλλά πασίγνωστο προγραμματάκι PuTTY client που επιτρέπει στους χρήστες να δημιουργήσουν SSH-2 connections by Windows their PCs, bringing almost all of the program's features to the Windows 8.1 home screen.
Its features include options so you can use PuTTY for fast private key authentication, support for full or adjustable screen size, UTF-8 compatibility, support for saving single connection settings and keyboard on the screen.
In the description of the application we read: “Metro PuTTY is a version of the popular desktop application PuTTY. Allows you to create SSH-2 connections on any device that accepts SSH-2 and has many of the same features as PuTTY. Allows you to save the settings of a connection that is synchronized with your Microsoft account and supports key authentication".
The app is not available for free, but for a fee of $ 3.99 (€ 2.10), and for free you can only download a trial version of the PuTTY Metro for Windows 8.1 to test some of its features.
This news has made us impression and we are adding it together as well PuTTY is a totally free application and for Windows and for Linux. You can easily download it from here.
What we did not understand is where things are going with the Metro applications, which are usually inferior to the normal desktop respective applications and while they should all be completely free (which they are not) they have started charging those that are in desktop format free of charge (like PuTTY). Are Metro apps aimed at naive and bored users?
