Μαζί με τα Windows 10 η Microsoft διέθεσε και τον νέο της browser Edge. Σύμφωνα με το όνειρο της εταιρείας, το νέο προεπιλεγμένο πρόγραμμα περιήγησης, ήρθε όχι μόνο για να αντικαταστήσει τον Internet Explorer, but also to help the company compete with rival browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox.
To be fair, Edge includes many improvements, while the company's developers are preparing to add even more, such as support for extensions.
But Microsoft's dream does not come together, and Windows users, and the company's promises for a super browser, do not seem to be enough to persuade them to give up their favorite browsers.
The event forced the company to look for new ways to attract new friends. So messages have started appearing in Windows builds that have leaked.
Microsoft reportedly added new messages to the upcoming Windows 10 that prompt users to continue using Edge as the default browser when someone tries to change to Chrome, Firefox, Opera or anything else.
Η change this is not yet available in stable versions of Windows 10, but we might see it with the next update, as Microsoft seems to be taking a very aggressive tactic to keep its users on board.
In a statement the company at The Inquirer says these messages are used to show users that they are ready to give up the best browser option for Windows 10, but stress that everyone can still choose whatever application they want.
"We believe that Microsoft Edge offers a superior browsing experience in the new operating system. These notifications were created to provide people with quick, easy information that can help them better understand these experiences. That said, with Windows 10, you can easily select the default browser and search engine of your choice, "said a company spokesman.
