Microsoft released yesterday on Tuesday's established patch for security patches for its software and operating systems, leaving off Windows XP.
The company is determined to stop the Windows XP updates and reminded everyone who still has their systems to change their operating system as soon as possible.
"If usesIn Windows XP, you will not be able to receive security updates through Windows Update or the Microsoft Update service. Support for Windows XP has been discontinued since April 8, and if you continue to use the operating system without support, your computer will be vulnerable to potential attacks and over time, its performance will be affected," the company said on its blog.
This of course, as expected, does not apply to everyone, as there are thousands of businesses with too many systems using Microsoft's outdated operating system.
So at the same time, Microsoft made security updates available to large companies and organizations that asked, paying more, to keep their systems safe. However, the company emphasizes that this will only happen for a limited time space, until they manage to upgrade all computers to Windows 8.1.
"There are also special cases in which some business clients have entered into custom support agreements directly with Microsoft. These companies will receive temporary security updates for Windows XP to bridge the gap during the process of migrating to a more modern operating system such as Windows 8.1, ”the company added.
