Microsoft Edge is preparing a new feature that will let you add text to PDF documents without using software on Windows or macOS.
This feature is called "Add Text" and is now available to Microsoft Edge users using the Canary Channel.
Microsoft seems to have heard user feedback, and the upcoming update will allow support for adding text to PDF documents.
To add a text, open the PDF document in Microsoft Edge 94 (Canary) and click on choice “Add Text”, as shown in the image below.
Or you can also right-click anywhere in the document to add a text box. When you're done, you can save it, print it, or send it to me e-mail.
Microsoft Edge also lets you change the font size, fill it with color, or change the text color.
This feature will be available to everyone with the Edge 94.
The upcoming Microsoft Edge will also bring an improved Immersive Reader feature changes column style. For example, you'll soon be able to make columns wider and switch between three styles: narrow, medium, or wide.
It will also improve the sleeping tabs, a feature that "sleeps" the browser tabs after a minute of inactivity.
Edge's next big update with improved Immersive Reader, sleeping tabs and new possibilities for PDF editing will be released in the fourth week of September.
