Microsoft Edge: Microsoft is known to develop Windows 10 almost from scratch, to avoid users refusing to install the new operating system. It is also known that the company is developing a new browser that will completely replace Internet Explorer in the future.
The new Microsoft Edge browser will be released as a universal application across all versions of Windows 10, and for all devices: smartphones, tablets, and computers.
The browser is already available in the Windows 10 builds preview with the code name Project Spartan.
Microsoft has for the first time made available an in-depth introduction video to the new app via its YouTube.
It looks like Microsoft Edge has quite a few new features, with the feature Cortana, Redmond's personal assistant to steal the show.
The Cortana feature is embedded in the Edge browser so you can easily search the internet with voice commands.
In addition to integrating Cortana's personal assistant, the new browser will support addons that will extend the functionality of the application.
According to the company, Google Chrome extensions will be supported, with some tweaks to their original ones code. We'll see this feature in the browser at a later date, as more development work is required and it won't be available this summer when Windows 10 hits the market.
Microsoft Edge will be offered alongside Internet Explorer but will be the default browser in Windows 10.
