Microsoft developers have reportedly enabled Internet Explorer in the upcoming Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser. So from today you can try the new function by activating a special flag.
When the company announced the transition from EdgeHTML used today in Edge, the engine used by Chromium, has promised to give users the same look and feel as Internet Explorer, while at the same time trying to transfer most of the features of the old browser to the new application.
Some will obviously not need to use an Internet Explorer feature in the upcoming Chromium-based Edge.
But companies that have developed applications specifically for Internet Explorer will find the new feature very practical when they decide to switch to the new Microsoft Edge.
If you want to try the new feature that "allows IE integration" already exists in the Canary version of the new Edge.
By enabling the feature, you can run any site in Internet Explorer compatibility mode.
The option is available on the route:
Menu- More tools - Show this page using Internet Explorer.
Download the latest version of the upcoming browser.
