Microsoft's collaboration with the Linux Foundation

Microsoft announced with a publication on the company's website that it will provide its stakeholders with a new Linux certification on Azure! The move came after the company's collaboration with the Linux Foundation, a non-profit organization.microsoft linux

According to Jim Zemlin, Executive Director of the Linux Foundation, the partnership between Microsoft and the foundation has already proved successful, especially since Microsoft has begun opening the source code of several of its software, such as the .NET Framework, Chakra JavaScript engine for Internet Explorer, and Visual Studio.

In the last year, Microsoft managed to create its own Linux-based operating system, which it uses in Azure Cloud (ACS) ένα cross- modular OS designed specifically for data centers, and continues a constructive partnership with big names in Linux, including Red Hat and SUSE.

However, both offer additional knowledge to system administrators, who now have access to new Linux and Microsoft Azure certifications, which require candidates to pass the Linux Foundation's Certified SysAdmin exam.

More details can be found on the Linux Foundation website.
