Microsoft started rolling out the new, redesigned Media Player to Windows 11 Insiders starting in November 2021.
Since then, the company has been updating the app gradually with new interesting and useful features, such as Audio CD Ripping and support for more high-fidelity audio file formats.

There are also features that will appeal to those who watch videos, or navigate through video folders, a feature that was also recently added.
Meanwhile, in Windows 10, Groove Music was the default music player. However, this is about to change as Microsoft starts replacing Groove Music in Windows 10 with the new Windows Media Player.
However, the replacement is not fast but probably the application will come to all users sooner or later. Microsoft had already started rolling out the new Media Player from the Windows 10 Release Preview Channel to Insiders. If you want the installation file you can download it from the rg-adguard page.
- From store.rg-adguard.net.
- Select - Επιλέξτε ProductID in the first first drop-down.
- Write 9WZDNCRFJ3PT in the search box.
- select RP in the next drop-down
- Click to download the file Microsoft.ZuneMusic_11.2209.30.0_neutral_ ~ _8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle.
- Run the downloaded file to update the app.
The new Media Player will also become available later from the Microsoft Store, which means that all Windows 10 users will soon be able to use it.
George is still wondering what he is doing here….
