Microsoft will be the next major technology company to "give in" the temptation to wearable devices, as it is reportedly planning to launch a highly advanced SmartWatch.
According to a Forbes report, Microsoft is preparing its own "smart watch", which will even be able to work in collaboration with smartphones that run differently functional system.
Forbes refers to "multiple sources who know the company's plans" and claims that Microsoft's smartwatch will have multiple sensors and will be able to sync with operating systems iOS, Android and of course Windows Phone Number.
Externally, the device will be similar to Samsung's Gear Fit and will feature a color display screen touch, which will be located inside the user's wrist. While this sounds a little strange, the publication claims that this particular screen placement is specifically designed to make it easier to visually access notifications.
One of its particular features will be continuous measurement and monitoring of heartbeats during the day and night. THE battery of the device is expected to last at least two days.
An interesting point is the involvement in the program technicians from the department Kinect of Microsoft, who together with designers and management experts data have created one software platform which will accompany the smartwatch and will assume to gather and display the data from the various sensors of the device.
The move to create a device that works with alternative operating systems is based on Windows Phone being estimated to have a market share of 3,5% by the end of 2014, while Android is at 80,2% and iOS on 14,8%.
Moreover, this move comes in full agreement with the moves of the younger one CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nandela, who wants the company's products to operate on multiple platforms. Typical was the move to make its suite of applications available Office, for the first time, at iPad Apple.
