Microsoft revealed the new Xbox One S at E3 held in Los Angeles, but it didn't stop there. THE company talked about the new Project Scorpio an internal project developing the next generation Xbox console. We are talking about full 4K and VR capabilities.
Phil Spencer, head of Xbox division, explained that Project Scorpio would provide "the most powerful console ever built." Spencer gave Halo 5 as an example and what Project Scorpio can do. Of course it will offer the best possible performance, explaining that the Xbox One may already give 4K resolution, but the rating drops automatically to avoid sluggish gaming.
The new Project Scorpio is expected to be launched, probably with another name in 2017. Microsoft is still developing the console, and Spencer revealed that the company's decision to reveal this early information comes as part of the goal of greater transparency in the relationship with customers.
(Hmm, yes: He also forgot to mention Apple's WWDC 2016, but those things don't go without saying. The timing of Project Scorpio's announcement coincided with Apple's developer event where the company announced new operating systems for all platforms her.)
"It's crazy to announce something so early. But if I enter the Shoes of our customer, I want to be able to know the options for what console I want to buy with as much information as possible.” Spencer said.
