Three non-critical updates that were withdrawn as soon as they were released in August were re-released by Microsoft.
The three versions are as follows and are for systems running Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2:
- August 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (KB2975719)
- August 2014 update rollup for Windows RTF, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 (KB2975331)
- Update to support the new currency symbol for the Russian ruble in Windows (KB2970228)
They are already available from Windows Update and you can install them.
After the fiasco of August, the Michael Niehaus of Microsoft reports that the re-release of KB2975719 fixes that problems has presented the latest version. The others two updates are coming to address known issues and the Knowledge Base articles will be updated soon, since at the time of writing the company he hasn't updated them yet.
