Power BI for Office 365 allows businesses to easily generate reports and draw conclusions with Excel, share and collaborate on these findings with Office 365. Excel includes significant data formatting and display capabilities that allow customers to easily discover, access, and combine their data. Customers are still able to create impressive geographic representations in 3D in Excel.
With Office 365, customers have access to cloud-based capabilities to share real-time views and reports with their colleagues and from their mobile devices. They can also interact with their data in new ways to reach useful conclusions more quickly and manage their work more efficiently. Power BI features for Office 365 include:
• A data management system that enables IT managers to create links to on-premise data sources. End-users can have the most recent reports, either on their computer or on their mobile device.
• BI Sites, locations within a company's BI network, where users can find and share data and reports with their colleagues and collaborate on the results.
• Real-time access to BI Sites and their data, regardless of whether the user enters from a mobile device, through the browser in HTML5 or through the mobile device application available at Windows Store.
• A natural language search called Power Q&A, which allows users to ask questions about their data and get instant answers in the form of an interactive whiteboard, graph, or graph.
