With Windows 10, Microsoft is trying to combat the confusion created by Windows 8 and is trying to "pick it up" first from the two versions of Sky. This will remove the Metro application.
The company announced today that from July 7 all users will have the desktop version of Skye without losing their contacts and conversations if they decide to change the version.
One of the reasons behind Microsoft's decision is that the desktop version of the messaging application has already been optimized for the touch function.
So if you have a tablet and want to chat with friends, you may as well switch to the desktop version, which by the way contains a larger menu from the Metro application.
"With the upcoming PC version of Windows 10, it makes sense to use the optimized Skyper application that now works for keyboards and mice as well as touch screens, instead of 2 separate applications that perform the same function" said Microsoft .
