Skype Translator is a real-time voice / video translation service and is available for testing at the end of 2014.
Today 12 May, Microsoft opened the test program by virtually eliminating subscriptions and waiting procedures. To test the application on Skype Translator, you just need to download the trial version from Windows Store.
Currently, Skype Translator supports English, Mandarin, Italian, and Spanish. Microsoft encourages testers to use the application with these languages, if possible.
However, the new application also supports French and German, according to the download page.
Microsoft's ultimate plan is to support 45 or more languages with Skype Translator and make the service available to different devices running different operating systems.
Microsoft is working on this project translationreal-time voice and video for more than three years.
