Microsoft may be getting ready to upload new ones games the Windows 10 (like the Candy Crush Saga) but it does not forget its roots. The company prepares to celebrate 25 years of Solitaire in Windows with a contest.
After an internal competition among Microsoft employees, the audience will be able to compete against the tournament winners for its 25 anniversary Microsoft Solitaire.
1989 Wes Cherry developed the Microsoft Solitaire game, which first appeared on Windows 3.0. The game became gold at 22 May of 1990.
Although the game was partly aimed at entertaining them users of Windows, had another purpose.
It helped newbies with emerging technology become familiar with using computers, learning how the mouse works and characteristics which seem simple to us today, but were unheard of back then.
So novice users could learn the "drag and drop" but also the path they could find the game with their mouse.
The game has evolved over the years, but it has also disappeared from Windows. Those who wish to take part in the tournament will not be able to if they do so from their Windows PC, but only from mobile their phone, if of course it's a Windows Phone.
For those who are disappointed, patience until the official release of Windows 10.
As you understand the news is not about the majority, but it's another good trick that serves the military company that wants 2 with 3 titles daily in the media, as you might have noticed lately.
