H Microsoft has just begun running the Teams application, a Slack competitor, through the World XMUMX subscription.
The service was announced by the end of 2016 and aims to provide an instant messaging application in every workplace that works neatly with Office and threaded messages (something that Slack can not do it yet).
Today's release comes with some new features like calling sound from mobile devices and video calls from the devices Android (for iOS and Windows Phone coming soon). You can also email an entire channel, send messages using markdown formatting, and receive notifications for all posts made in a channel.
Microsoft even released one video with some of the new features available since the announcement of the service.
Let's say that Slack has been the dominant company in the field for quite some time now, and has the advantage that its platform is stable and highly agnostic. But it's not connected to Office, Google Docs, or any other service.
Microsoft, on the other hand, says that it does not want Teams to become a solution aimed exclusively at Office users, but that it is open to integration into as many services Would you like.
