Yesterday we mentioned that Microsoft αφαίρεσε την δυνατότητα άμεσης εγκατάστασης από το μηδέν στη νέα ενημερωμένη έκδοση των Windows 10 1511!
Everything related to the latest version of Windows 10 10586, namely: Media Creation Tool, Kits and Tools (SDK, WDK, ADK), Mobile Emulators, ISO build by Tech Bench removed.
All old links leading to the new update build from yesterday lead to the earlier version of Windows 10 RTM build 10240.
This means that you can no longer download the official ISO images of Windows 10 version 1511, you cannot download the updated tool build installation media that supports build 10586.
The only option you have is to download and install Windows 10 RTM build 10240 and then through Windows Update to upgrade to Windows 10 build 10586. We feel this only makes things annoying for Windows customers and cannot understand why Microsoft would do such a thing.
Microsoft states without explaining the reasons for this decision:
The November 2015 update was initially available through the MCT (Media Creation Tool), but the company decided that you should install it in the future through Windows Update. Stakeholders can still download Windows 10 [Build 10240] using the media creation tool if they wish. The November update will be delivered via Windows Update.
Microsoft did not withdraw the November update of Windows 10. The company will have the November update over time - and if you do not see it in Windows Update, you will see it soon.
In the wake of the news, our thoughts and so many others who are interested and watching technology news tell us that something is wrong with the company.
Personally, I do not see any reason for the withdrawal of the Th2 ISO. This does not mean, of course, that it does not exist.
One reason could be Microsoft finding a bug, or it could be that the company wants to track RTM downloads and installs. Something error in the activation system leaving the OS open to whoever discovers it could also be a reason.
Whatever the reason, the company's practice of having updates and making such decisions, without any transparency and explanation for its customers, creates misunderstandings and, of course, is very unprofessional.
