After making Windows 10 free to users running genuine Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, Microsoft has just announced an experimental program targeting its "customers" who use pirated copies.
Microsoft's Terry Myerson has confirmed today that the experiment will soon begin in the United States, and if successful, it will be extended to other countries.
You're using Windows 10 and can't activate them, or some pirated earlier version των Windows που είναι επιλέξιμη για free upgrade if it would be legit, don't be happy… you won't get any license of Windows 10 for free.
Microsoft just announced that it would be easier for those running non-genuine Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 to upgrade to Window 10.
"One of the most interesting things we've learned from the upgrade is the creative efforts our clients with non-genuine Windows have made to upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1."
said Myerson.
So Microsoft will launch the experiment in the United States, where the company will offer "a one-click Get Genuine opportunity through the Windows Store."
As for those who have not yet activated Windows 10, Microsoft has released two cumulative updates today. One of these adds an easier way to activate.
