Bad news for Windows hackers. As we have already mentioned Windows 10 will be offered free by the company to upgrade old systems (7, 8 and 8.1) only in the first year after their release. A today's statement from a Microsoft spokesman in Ars, came to put things in place. The company explained that pirated copies of Windows will not be upgraded for free.

“With Windows 10, even non-genuine PCs will be able to upgrade to Windows 10, but the upgrade will not change the real license status … If a device considered non-genuine before the upgrade, this device will still be considered non-genuine after the upgrade”.
“With Windows 10, although non-Genuine PCs may be able to upgrade to Windows 10, the upgrade will not change the genuine state of the license… If a device was considered non-genuine or mislicensed prior to the upgrade, that device will continue to be considered non-genuine or mislicensed after the upgrade. ”
Specifically, what Microsoft is trying to explain is that all computers with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 will be able to upgrade to Window 10. It does not matter if they use genuine Windows or not.
