Mission for Growth 2014: International event to promote business partnerships in Greece

An international event of bilateral business meetings is organized in Athens at 11 March 2014, Enterprise Europe Network - Hellas, το μεγαλύτερο δίκτυο της χώρας για την επιχειρηματικότητα και την καινοτομία που συντονίζει το Εθνικό Κέντρο Τεκμηρίωσης (ΕΚΤ). Η εκδήλωση, η οποία απευθύνεται σε μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις και ερευνητικούς οργανισμούς και επικεντρώνεται στον τουρισμό και τη γαλάζια ανάπτυξη, εντάσσεται στην εκδήλωση “Mission for Growth – Reaching the Greek market and its players” (11-12/03/2014) η οποία διοργανώνεται από τον Αντιπρόεδρο της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής κ. Antonio Tajani, σε with the Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Mrs. Maria Damanaki and the Greek Ministry of Tourism, in the context of the Greek Presidency of the EU.

The bilateral meeting is aimed at business partnership between Greek and European businesses and is addressed to small and medium-sized enterprises and research organizations active in sectors identified as critical growth factors in Greece and interested in developing or expanding their activities in the European area. In particular, the event focuses on the following areas: Agri-food industry / Food processing / Fish farming, Bio and Blue Biotechnology, Energy, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Tourism.

Participants will have the opportunity to make contacts with potential partners from abroad, to reach new customers / suppliers, to identify innovative technologies and products for their exploitation and to create new Research & Technological Development collaborations within the open calls of the European Horizon 2020 program.

At the bilateral business meetings that will take place during the event (Athens, Divani Caravel Hotel), businesses and organizations from all over Greece and Europe will have the opportunity to participate in targeted and scheduled short-term meetings (20 minutes) possibilities and prospects for cooperation. The event takes place following the successful event of 2013 (474 participants and 1.248 meetings).

The event of bilateral business meetings is held in parallel with the International Conference "Coastal and Maritime Tourism & Blue Development Strategies" which will take place on March 10 (Athens, Acropolis Museum), under the auspices of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission . In the , which focuses on coastal and maritime tourism and blue growth strategies, will be attended by the Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr. Antonio Tajani, and the Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ms. Maria Damanaki. The conference will be attended by leading representatives of the business community from all over Europe.
