Skype για Linux; Τελευταία έχουμε παρατηρήσει ότι η αντίληψη της Microsoft για το Linux και γενικότερα με τον τον κόσμο ανοιχτού κώδικα έχει αλλάξει εντελώς. Το Linux αναπτύσσεται με γρήγορους ρυθμούς, και έτσι το Redmond δεν είχε άλλη choice from adapting and considering ways to get closer to an ever-growing community.
After announcing various Linux applications on Windows OS that no one would have believed 10 years ago (see Bash for Windows 10), Microsoft seems to be preparing more surprises for Linux users. This time the company it is specifically aimed at Skype users.
In a teaser that posted Today in the forum of the application community, Microsoft announces "exciting news for Linux users," but without giving more details.
But if one thinks the teaser is coming from Microsoft's Skype channel, it's not hard to guess that Redmond is probably about to unveil a new Skye application for Linux.
It should be mentioned that Skyρe for Linux has remained for years in the version (skype-4.3.0.3) which is criticized very often, not only because of the outdated UI, but mainly because of the fact that it does not have many features that are already present in client of Windows.
Let's see what happens as the news will probably be released next week…
