A global robotics competition is being organized for the first time in Greece, specifically in Thessaloniki, on March 8 and 9, at the Center for the Dissemination of Sciences and the Museum of Technology NOESIS.
It's about it First Lego League (FLL), a global robotics competition, in the form of a contest, for children aged 9 to 16 years. Thirty-four groups of ten will take part in the competition, which is organized by the non-profit-charitable EDU ACT training association.
The contest is designed to help children discover and love her science and technology in the most fun way by gaining confidence in their abilities and believing in themselves while teaching them valuable life skills.
Until the final, there will be workshops and meetings with well-known scientists, speeches and educational competitions. On Friday and Saturday, January 24-25 and January 31-February 1, at the mall centre "Mediterranean Cosmos" educational robotics seminars will be held for everyone.
This year's competition is about the environment and weather phenomena, and in this context, Leo Vinir, educational robotics team from Faeroes, and world-renowned robotics designers Lee Magpilli and Vassilis Chrysanthakopoulos will be present in Thessaloniki.

Το πρόγραμμα τους εμπνέει να ανακαλύψουν καινούρια πράγματα”.
The sponsor of the organization is the Youth Foundation of the Diocese of Neapolis-Stavroupoleos. The competition is supported by "Thessaloniki European Youth Capital 2014", NOESIS, company "Hellenic Petroleum", "Mediterranean Cosmos". The entire organization is under the auspices of the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace and the Municipalities of Thessaloniki, Pylaia-Hortiatis and Kordelio-Evosmos.
