Notepad++ 7.3.3 is the latest version of the popular application processingof text and source code. It is a program only for devices running on Windows. From time to time we have mentioned the application in many Secnews.gr publications where edits are required, as it is free and one of the best out there. 
We've been using it for many years to avoid the Windows notepad for many different reasons.
One of them: Try to edit a php file with Windows notepad and then upload it to a Linux server. Then download the file and open it with Notepad ++. Formatting the text will convince you.
