The default program word processing at Windows 10 and 11 will gain even more capabilities. While we wait for the rumored Copilot integration, Windows fans are already discovering new things coming soon to Notepad.
Spotted by @PhantomOfEarth and announced on Twitter: Η Microsoft prepares spell check and autocorrect features for Notepad.
Windows Insiders will soon be able to toggle spell check so the app highlights misspelled words and offers correction suggestions. Additionally, Notepad will be able to automatically correct typos when spell checking is enabled.
Microsoft even prepares an exception list to specify the types of files that the built-in spell checker should ignore. The pre-built list already includes txt, md, srt, ass (we're not kidding), lrc and lic formats. At this time, we don't know if Microsoft will allow other formats to be added.
Notepad functions discovered recently δεν είναι ακόμη διαθέσιμες για δημόσιες δοκιμές και για να λειτουργήσουν χρειάζεται κάποιο άγνωστο hack. Έτσι όσοι ενδιαφέρονται θα πρέπει να περιμένουν την company to release the next update to Windows Insiders.
