OOKLA Who has the fastest Mobile Internet?

Visit the company's website OAKLA, the world's most popular Internet measurement application and take the SpeedTest at you. Repeat the test with SIM cards from different providers in the location you're interested in and don't make your final decision before measuring the times and days you're interested in. It is expected that you will receive otherwise for the same network, the phenomenon is explained by the number of parameters that affect the measurement.

SpeedTest will measure the speeds at which you download and upload a test file from your nearest server.

If you want you can confirm that the Mobile Internet user experience in your area matches your results. Inspect the statistical results of measurements made with the same tool by others in your area. The resulting number is representative. It refers to the measurements recorded by Mobile Internet users and outputs the average for the calendar period under consideration. Also, the results per network are weighted according to the number of subscribers of each provider.

Mobile Internet vs. DSL

Interestingly, the speed of Internet access via mobile telephony is significantly higher than that of fixed connections. This, of course, is not enough to cut the Internet at home and rely on our SIMK. The prices remain incomparable, as the slowest DSL has fallen to 20 around EUR a month.
There is no guaranteed speed on the Mobile Internet as well
Of course, also in the case of Mobile Internet the nominal speeds differ from the real ones and no provider -in , in Europe or the USA - cannot guarantee them.

The fact is attributed to the number of parameters that affect the actual speed - from bandwidth, network design, technology (4G obviously promises higher end speeds), network coverage, number of subscribers (inversely proportional), to antenna direction.

We are not last in Mobile Internet - We are in the top ten

As far as the speeds enjoyed by mobile Internet users in Greece are concerned, we can pride ourselves in classifying the European countries, our country owns 9 in 27. While in Belgium users average 18,54Mbps today, in Greece we achieve 12,10Mbps (in Cyprus 7,21Mbps and the EU average is 11,1Mbps).

If you search for the average speeds in your area (location notification) then you may see higher or lower average speeds. In Athens, however, we measured 14,9Mbps and looking at last year's summer season, we were pleasantly surprised that the speeds were even higher, although we shared the valuable resource of bandwidth with a much larger number of users.
