OurMine is one team hacker από τη Σαουδική Αραβία, που συνηθίζει να παραβιάζει CMS (Content Management System). Η ομάδα το τελευταίο διάστημα κατάφερε να αποκτήσει πρόσβαση στο Variety.com αλλά και στη ιστοσελίδα τεχνολογίας TechCrunch.
The team managed to steal the credentials of an article writer's account and from there they sent a newsletter to all the subscribers of the website that read "hacked by #OurMine - [.Important] read the message !!"
The incident took place on Saturday, and Variety apologized to its users and e-mail subscribers.
He also said there was no indication that the group had stolen personal user information during the short time that had access to the site.
At the end of July this summer, the group also attacked the site TechCrunch. The hackers managed to publish an “article” titled “OurMine Team! – Important message”
Just like Variety, the TechCrunch team acknowledged the incident and said that "the hack appears to have taken place on the account of one of the TechCrunch columnists."
The team is used to offending websites to indicate alleged security gaps. It does not hijack user accounts and in general privacy και ίσως αυτός είναι ο λόγος που οι αρχές της Σαουδικής Αραβίας δεν έχουν συλλάβει τους hackers ακόμα, αν και τα στοιχεία τους είναι γνωστά από δύο διαφορετικά doxing.
