Microsoft has just released security updates for its Windows operating system as part of the standard Patch Tuesday updates. Updates are available for all client and server versions of Microsoft Windows, as well as other corporate products, such as Microsoft Office or Azure.
This is the eighth round of operating system updates this year and follows last month's Patch Tuesday updates, which came as KB5004237. Today's updates come with KB code KB5005033 and will cover the 2004, 20H2 and 21H1 versions.
These updates will raise the build number in Windows to: 19041.1165, 19042.1165 or 19043.1165 depending on the version you are currently running.
Updates improve security and quality according to the company. They close three 0day security vulnerabilities and fix the annoying PrintNightmare vulnerability that allows malicious users to access system-level privileges by using a remote print server.
If you have enabled automatic updates on your system, you will see the new updates in a few days. If you want to install them now go to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update.
