New phishing attacks target her accounts Google and as Bitdefender says, many users are already victims so far.
Bitdefender has detected a new species attacks that is designed to be undetectable since it is unlike traditional phishing schemes.
Much to the chagrin of Google's friends, its users Chrome are the most vulnerable to attacks due to the way the browser displays the data. That doesn't mean Firefox users are safe, however
"By accessing Google's user accounts", hackers can purchase Google Play applications, breach Google+ accounts, and gain access to Google Drive confidential documents. The scam starts with an email supposedly sent by Google, with a title 'Mail Notice' or 'New Lockout Notice' says Bitdefender.
The e-mail sent to users states that their e-mail accounts will be locked within 24 hours due to their inability to increase their e-mail storage capacity. The message contains a link that prompts users to click “INSTANT INCREASE” to avoid locking the accounts them..
When someone clicks on the link, it redirects to a web page that looks like the login page of the Google login and asks for user authentication.
You should always remember in such cases to check the sender's email address by placing the mouse pointer over the sender's name to verify whether it matches or not. If you open the message and choose to "show details" below the sender's name, you will be able to see if the message is actually from Google or not.
Also, you should know that Gmail does not send unauthorized bulk messages, and when it does, the message does not come up with grammatical and syntax errors, along with content that makes you wonder.
