Jailbroken PlayStation 4

A που αυτοαποκαλείται CTurt ισχυρίζεται ότι κατάφερε να κάνει jailbreak το 4 χρησιμοποιώντας ένα kernel exploit.PlayStation 4 Jailbreak

It seems that this jailbreak can be used to reject RAM from other processes by allowing you to install custom firmware that can then be used to run unapproved applications from Sony.

The hacker announced jb from the on Twitter, and it appears the exploit currently only works for PlayStation 4 version 1.76. Apparently with a few tweaks, it can be configured to work on newer firmware versions as well.

It will probably take some time for CTurt and other hackers to create a custom firmware and then develop a simple way of installing on Sony's home console. As you may know, jailbriken devices allow the installation of non-Sony approved applications as well as pirated software.

Of course, Sony would not like the news as a jailbroken PlayStation 4 means a revenue cut. So the developers of the company are probably looking for the exploit first and then ways to fix it in the next version of the firmware.

The company can also take legal action against those running apps it hasn't approved, claiming they violate the terms of use and create potential the s for the rest of its user community.
