The Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate of the Greek Police, in preliminary investigation, investigated a case of pornography of minors, via the internet, at the expense of a minor national, aged 12 years.
In this case, a case file of a regular procedure concerning a violation of the criminal provisions of pornography of children and pornographic representations of minors, against the perpetrators who have been found abroad, namely in Pakistan and the Philippines, was formed. In addition, these actions were prosecuted, which were prosecuted at a felony and the case was referred to a main interrogation.
In particular, the case was investigated following a complaint that unknown internet users, using the Facebook social networking platform, approached the child, on the pretext that they would offer her work as a model by a famous musical band.
First they took her personal information and details, and then they asked her that for her alleged recruitment she should call through applicationς «Skype», άγνωστο σε αυτή προφίλ πραγματοποιώντας βίντεο-κλήση. Κατά τη duration των βίντεο-κλήσεων, της ζήτησαν να ποζάρει προκειμένου να την «δοκιμάσουν» για την προσφερόμενη εργασία.
The perpetrators then deceptively informed her that she was hired for the job and asked her to go further and pose in obscene poses. At reactions of the minor, the perpetrators using pretexts and threats, at the expense of her and her family, said that she would face criminal sanctions if she did not give in to what they asked of her and displayed another profile allegedly from an agent of foreign security services, to emphasize their threats.
To investigate and investigate the case, a thorough digital analysis was carried out by specialized staff at the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office. From the ongoing methodical and thorough police and technical research, in the context of an order of the Athens Prosecutor's Office for a preliminary examination, the online traces of perpetrators abroad, namely Pakistan and the Philippines, were identified.
The results of the investigation were included in the relevant criminal case file, which was submitted to the Athens Prosecutor's Office and the case was referred to the main interrogation.
The police investigation carried out by the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division continues in the framework of international police cooperation.

As far as their methodology of action is concerned, it initially distributes their personal information such as name, place of residence, telephone, etc. and then ask them to call a video call profile using popular online chat programs, such as Skype or Whatsapp.
During video calls, the perpetrators ask minors to make seemingly innocent actions (poses, etc.) in order to test them for the "work" they offer, and then proceed to ask them to pose in obscene stances . Video calls are likely to be displayed live by third-party perpetrators, in order to obtain great asset benefits.
When an underage person refuses to act in accordance with their instructions, the perpetrators commit threats using all sorts of pretexts, for example because after being hired they can not go back because they will face criminal penalties, their family will be harmed etc .;
Parents and minors of the internet are required to pay particular attention, under no circumstance to surrender to supposed job offers of this nature, and to report incidents directly to the competent local authorities or to the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division in the above mentioned contact details .
