If you were a user of Windows 95 and Windows XP, then you might recognize the name Power Toys, which had to do with a set of system utilities developed by Microsoft.
After a few generations that Power Toys remained on the shelf, the idea is back and now available first edition for Insider of Windows 10.
This set of utilities and their source code is available from GitHub, where users can also make suggestions, create their own applications or report problems.
Power Toys' then-initial set of utilities was useful for classic tasks such as creation autoplay CD or entering registry settings in Control Panel via TweakUI.
This initial version of Power Toys includes a shortcut wizard for Windows, as well as "FancyZones", which lets you set preset targets to drag applications, which will then be maximized to fill a predefined zone.
