Q4OS Linux alternative for Windows users who want to change

Q4OS is a Debian-based Linux distribution and is designed to offer a familiar Trinity environment to the Windows user who is thinking of changing the operating system.Q4OS

The distribution has simple accessories and provides fixed APIs for complex third-party applications such as Google Chrome, VirtualBox, and various development tools.

It is a fast and powerful operating system that offers a highly productive work environment, with security, reliability, long-term stability and the conservative integration of verified new Linux features.

The system is distinguished by its speed and very low hardware requirements. It works perfectly with brand new machines as well as with old computers.

The system is also very useful for virtual cloud environments because of the very low hardware requirements.

I tried the Q4OS Live CD and the experience was incredible. It's not one of the distributions I use, but I recommend it to those who work with Windows and want to try Linux.

From appearance to applications, everything resembles its operating system . If you notice them , you will notice that even the installers of the applications seem to be from another platform…

Own encoders and drivers

On the welcome screen you will find the option to install “Multimedia Codecs” and drivers. No difficulty, just click the button and a guide appears. With a few clicks on "Next" you will see the "Install" option to install your codecs and drivers.

New features

The new Q4OS 'Orion' 1.8.4 is the latest stable version of the distribution and comes with various improvements and fixes.

The most important new feature is the integration of alternative work environments. So if you do not like the Trinity desktop, you can choose to change to another Linux-like Linux: KDE, Xfce, or LXDE.

The Q4OS Orion distribution stopped supporting the LXQT and according to the developers it will come back with the release of Q4OS Scorpion.

The application Icedove is no longer available from the Q4OS installer as it has been replaced by Thunderbird 45.8.
