The infographic shows that in 1996, hackers hit her by clicking here of the CIA. Then, in 1998, they defaced the New York Times website. In the same year, hackers hit 300 websites, an extremely high number for the time.
In 2000, denial-of-service (DOS). These attacks were carried out on the websites of Yahoo, Amazon, eBay and CNN.
Judging by the large number of high-profile attacks we've seen this year, 2014 will be a very interesting year. Some predict that we will have at least one major one infringement data for each month of 2014.
