Red Hat has announced the availability of a beta version for the upcoming . The beta version focuses on security, and Application Streams and Linux container technologies.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 Beta introduces the concept of Application Streams for simpler and more flexible user package delivery. The userspace can now be updated faster than base OS packages and without having to wait for the next major OS release.
