The Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate of the Hellenic Police, at cooperation με Αρχές άλλων χωρών, συμμετείχε σε διεθνή business under the code name "RHODES" to combat the phenomenon of child pornography, via the Internet.
Within the business RHODES, a 69-year-old citizen was identified and arrested, against whom a case file of spontaneous proceedings was filed for pornography of minors via Internet.
In particular, police officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution, carried out targeted multi-month raids online surveys και εντόπισαν σε εξυπηρετητή (server) στο εξωτερικό, ιστοσελίδα η οποία χρησιμοποιούνταν αποκλειστικά για το διαμοιρασμό υλικού πορνογραφίας ανηλίκων (βίντεο και φωτογραφιών), με τη χρήση ειδικού προγράμματος εξασφάλισης ανωνυμίας. Ύστερα από ενδελεχή ψηφιακή ανάλυση των στοιχείων της υπόθεσης, προέκυψαν ηλεκτρονικά ίχνη και εντός της ελληνικής επικράτειας .
The above were brought to the attention of the Athens Prosecutor's Office, which issued a relevant decree to lift the secrecy of communications. In this context, a police, digital - internet search of the facts and data of the case was carried out and electronic traces were identified, corresponding to the 69-year-old.
Subsequently, a police station of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division, assisted by police officers at the local Police Department, went to 22-03-2016, at 69ron's home, and conducted an investigation in the presence of a Judicial Officer.
The on-site investigation into the digital media of the arrested found a browser installation, with built-in basic network functions, which allows anonymity through which access to the internet was made.
In addition, a host of juvenile pornography material was found, where access was possible only by typing a password and using a special decryption program.
During the duration of the RHODES investigation, one (1) laptop and one (1) desktop computer were found and seized, which will be sent to the Division of Criminal Investigations for further laboratory investigation.
The 69 old actor, with the filing of a self-imposed suit filed against him, was brought to the competent Prosecutor's Office.
