From the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office, in the framework of a targeted investigation under the code name "RINA", in cooperation with foreign authorities, anti-pornography minors were investigated.
Two (2) 32, 38 and 4-year-olds were arrested in the context of the auto-trial, while regular proceedings were filed against 24, 30, 37, and 50.
The investigation of the case began with a targeted online survey (RINA), in cooperation with foreign authorities, on a P2P file sharing network to hold and traffic pornography material for minors. In particular, the online audit focused on the recording of the electronic traces of individuals who owned and had access to a specific pornographic portrait of minors.
The audit resulted in seven (7) electronic traces, corresponding to six (6) users within the Greek Territory, namely subscribers of internet and telephony services.
The Directorate of Cybercrime Prosecution conducted a thorough digital investigation and analysis of the data and facts of the case. An Order and a Board were issued for the removal of the secrecy of communications and correspondence with the competent providers of internet and telecommunication services, for the verification of the administrators - owners of the electronic traces in question.
During the period from 18 to 25 June 2015, legal surveys were carried out in the prefectures of Pella, Magnisia, Aitoloakarnania, Attica and Thessaloniki in the homes of the six (6) involved.
From the investigations were found and confiscated:
- Two (2) portable computers
- Six (6) internal hard drives
- An (1) computer.
Seized digital proofs will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Division for appropriate laboratory tests.
The arrested persons, with their filed case file, are brought to the competent Prosecutor. The regular proceedings filed for the case will be submitted appropriately.
