It's hard not to smile with the video from the latest work by Serbian artist Dragan Ilic, where a robot uses the same as a human brush to create a painting.
In his latest video, Ilic is tethered on an industrial robotic arm and turns around creating a vast abstract art canvas. According statements by the artist the project suggests the repeatability of bioengineering production, as well as the increasing subjugation of humanity to machines.
"The transformation of the artistic work is placed at a point where the activities of man and woman intersect machines", writes Ilyich. “This results in an interaction based primarily on the need to transcend the limits of the human body". Ilitch talks about cyborgs and robot and their role in artistic and social processes.
