Reuters reports that Russian officials have called for a meeting with Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and SAP. They will explicitly request from the two μεγάλες εταιρείες λογισμικού να δώσουν στην κυβέρνηση πρόσβαση στον πηγαίο code them, so that they understand how it works and how their regular users-citizens, who use one iPhone or Macs are not being spied on by the United States or the United Nations.
According to the report, this demand comes as a result of the US and European debate on whether to impose sanctions against Russia. The big question came through Russian Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov, who met with Apple's director Peter Engrob Nielsen. The proposal aims to reassure Russian citizens that their data and personal information remain private.
Obviously, the trigger for this request relates to his revelations Edward Snowden the 2013. And other countries have the same fears, but so far none of them has asked Apple to reveal its source code.
Apple regularly publishes portions of the source code on the Open website Source her. So far, both Apple and SAP have declined to comment on this story, and it remains to be seen whether Russia's request will be granted.
