When Samsung released last year the Galaxy S5, η επαναστατική τεχνολογία ήταν η νέα δυνατότητα σύνδεσης με δακτmaterial fingerprints. Twelve months later the company seems to be looking for a different technology security. By signing an agreement with the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), the Korean company is preparing to add iris scanning technology to its future smartphones and tablets.
Η Samsung has decided that the first products that will bring SRI technology will be its professional devices and so has acquired the first custom Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro who works perfectly with Iris on the Move.
The biometric system Iris on the Move (IoM) is already available in several SRI-branded products, but cooperation with Samsung will provide a much larger potential market in the company.
Adopting the iridescopy gives Samsung the lead over fingerprint scanning used by Apple's eternal rival, and as we have seen, it can easily be tricked by a hacker by simply imprinting a fingerprint on a mold.
The iridescopy with SRI at Galaxy Tab will be presented in April at the ISC West show in Las Vegas.
Η εταιρεία αναφέρει επίσης ότι το σύστημα Iris on the Move (ΙΟΜ) λειτουργεί χωρίς να απαιτεί από τον χρήστη να κρατήσει τα eyea of real estate to scan.
